Currently, the Hotel Bilderberg in the small, quiet town of Oosterbeek in the Netherlands is known worldwide. In 1954, the first meeting of the participants of the Bilderberg Conference, consisting of famous and influential people from around the world, was held at this hotel. Since then, the annual world meeting in honor of that significant day was called the "Bilderberg Club".
On May 13, 1954, the Bilderberg Hotel was visited by kings, princes, presidents, politicians, financiers and scientists.
The meeting lasted for 3 days.
It would like so much to return at the past and feel the spirit of that time ourselves. "The Hartenstein Airborne Museum is the pride of Oosterbeek. The all museum's restorations are dedicated to the Battle of Arnhem when the Allied forces tried to form a bridgehead on the northern shores of the Rhine Rivers in 1944, September. This museum presents an extensive and diverse collection of the original weapons, authentic uniforms and equipment used at fighting. In addition, the museum has award-winning Airborne Experience exhibition, which depicts the surroundings of Arnhem and Oosterbeek during the fighting."

"The Doorwerth Castle is an atmosphere of ancient times with a long history. The history of this castle begins in 1250 when it was built by the river Rhine by Knight Berend van Dorenvert. The most famous resident of the castle was Charlotte Oldenburg Bentink (1715-1800), to whom the great Voltaire came to the Doorwerth castle. You will have a dinner at the medieval kitchen and visit the armory furnished at the style XVII century. You will have a visit the "Dutch Hunt Museum" and explore the museum "Veluwezoom", which houses paintings of the XIX century with a nature landscape of the Netherlands."

"King's Day (Koningsdag) is a national holiday celebrated in the Netherlands. This holiday, associated with the birthday of the monarch, is also considered as a day of national unity and solidarity. Residents of the Netherlands dress in orange costumes that day because the orange color is a family color for the Oran dynasty. The holiday is known by its "free bazaars" (vrijmarkt) throughout the country, where everyone can sell freely their goods.
